My Welcome Home!!
I was gone 25 days. I arrived back home in Mexico to a beautiful surprise! Flowers!!! Lots and Lots of Flowers!
These beautiful red Gladiolas were a Happy Valentines day gift along with 2 boxes of delicious Bon bons.
And this beautiful spring bouquet of carnations, colorful mums and assorted daisies was to say.... "Welcome home"!
And finally... on my nightstand was a red rose with red and white carnations that said... "I love you and I really missed you!" What a thoughtful, loving husband!
Ahhhh.........I really do love flowers!
I have tons of pictures from my vacation, but I also have a lot of work to catch up on. I will be posting the pictures of Myrtle Beach and the Carolinas in a day or two. In the meantime...
Have a great day!

Life in the Guffey House
A few notes about life at the Guffey house.... Emily and Preston try out the new tablecloth.
Preston was trying to be very patient as he waited on his surprises grandma brought from Mexico.
Shiloh's eye's popped right out of her head when she saw them.
(Not really, the busted blood vessels were the result of a difficult labor in the last hour or so.)
The remodel on the hallway and kids bedroom is going well and looks fantastic!

Jonas and Preston love their room now! We have 3 more sets of book shelves to paint in the hall and mom and dad's room and then we can start putting books and things away in those areas!

My Blanket Statement!
My children know that when a new baby comes into the family Grandma Cindy likes to make them a receiving blanket of their very own. Cami helped me pick out the fabric for Mary Alice's blanket. It had to be very retro-1940's in looks to go with her given name (even her nickname, Maggie, reminds me of a Cary Grant or Humphrey Bogart black and white movie.) We picked a pretty pink and green striped flannel and backed it with a floral pattern of pink roses with green and lavender accents. It is sooooo Maggie!
Ransom definately needed something more boy and ...hmmm.... FUN! We found some cute jungle animal fabric and Cami wanted the plain blue background.

When you enlarge both Ransom and Maggie's pictures you can see the edge stitching which is really pretty. I would like to take the credit, but I just pushed some buttons and guided the material. Cami's new sewing machine did the rest!
For Grandpa And The Aunties!
For everyone.... more pictures of Maggie! Chillaxin in her new outfit.
Pappa Mike is in love...... again!!
The next pictures are for Aunt Cami. Maggie is modeling her new onesie Cami made for her.

Skye's Super Special Birthday Present!
Skye was a little distraught yesterday when her birthday came around and nobody posted about it on their blogs. (Even though we all called her and wished her Happy Birthday.. some of us very early in the morning!)
And to make sure she has the happiest birthday ever I posted a picture of the present Shiloh and Jason arranged for her to have forever and ever! A new little niece! Happy Birthday Skye!

Welcome to the world Mary Alice Guffey.
She will be affectionately called 'Maggie' by family and close friends (since you are thinking "Why Maggie? it is long for her initials MAG).
#######
Maggie was born at 11:44 a.m. weighed in at 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20 inches long.

Lily Kisses!!
So, yesterday there was a wonderful little video posted on Cali's blog entitled "Kisses for Grandma", where Gideon blew kisses to Grandma Cindy. Lily watched it over and over again. I came up with a great idea! Let's have Lily blow kisses to Aunt Cali and Gideon (and Grandpa of course!) She had on her super cute new outfit mommy made for her out of scrap material...
So she modeled it for me, and then we had to sing "Once There Was a Snowman". I mean it was only 77 degrees outside and it is her favorite song.

Then she got this very concerned look and had to get down now! She ran into the Living room and....
She made sure that baby Ransom was alright.
It called for some pretty close inspection work...
And she even gave him a kiss, but I wasn't quick enough to catch it. He wasn't crying, just gurgling and cooing. She watched him for 5 minutes.
What a good big sister! Then we went outside to get some kissing pictures. It took 5 tries but we finally got it. For some reason, even though it is turned correctly on the computer, it comes out sideways here. I don't know how to correct it, so just cock your head to the left and enjoy!
We finally came back inside and I was able to get a picture of here cleaning up her mommy,... oh.. and at the very end a kiss!
Love you!
