On Sunday, February 21st, Darryl and I went for a drive after church to the Ocean Springs beach. We had a delightful time at the beach and learning about Ft. Maurapas and Pierre Le Moyne, Sieur d'Iberville, of Montreal, Canada, a soldier, ship captain, explorer, colonial administrator, adventurer, privateer, trader, and the founder of the French colony of Louisiana in New France.

In January Hillary asked me if I could do an 'Americana / Patriotic picture of her family the Living room in their house. For weeks I looked through different painting styles and came up with this design.
She loved it!
I have some more ideas for paintings I need to do in the near future.
