Sightseeing with Grandma as your tour guide. Our first stop was Parque Del Centenario where we found a monkey and...
three different sloths.
From there we walked into beautiful Getsemani where they absolutely loved walking the colorful streets of the neighborhood.
I'm thinking they had a pretty good time!
You can't visit Cartagena or Getsemani,
and not get a photo with the beautiful Palenque women. You're looking good Eve!
We left Getsemani and walked the wall surrounding old town. Eve needed a photo of Shakira's home.
And visited some of our favorite spots and discovered a few new ones.
We finished off our day with lunch at Serensuela Mall and made it home before the rains started.

Visiting the Rosario Islands
Darryl and I bought an excursion for us and the newlyweds to spend the day at the San Pedro de Majagua resort on the largest of the Rosario Islands. There is a National Park on this island too.
We left early in the morning to catch the boat to the Island.
We received quite the welcome when we arrived, complete with delicious fruit cocktail drinks.
The resort was something you might see in a movie, with 2 beaches and lots of places to lounge. Since it is a Tuesday, there wasn't very many people there, so it was quite private and secluded at times.
We took a second boat over to the Oceanarium where we enjoyed the ocean life and the birds!
Eve was a little timid about getting near the pelican. Jonas was a little braver.
Puffer fish..
The boat ride back to the resort.
And a delicious lunch!
This would be a fun place to stay for a few days, especially if you are on your honeymoon!
It was quite a lovely day, but all too soon it was time to head home. After such a taxing day, we decided cooking was too much trouble, so we took Jonas and Eve to our favorite Hamburger restaurant, The Atruim, for dinner.

Making the most of their last full day in Cartagena.
The day started off with a surprise. Darryl left for work at 5:00, but due to a huge protest blocking the roads, he was back home by 7:00. So we had him with us for another full day of fun!
First stop: The Mandatory photo op at the newly painted Cartagena sign at Marbella Beach.
Then it was off to Jennie Manning's to pick up some jewelry we had repaired and to introduce her to our Grandson and his bride.
The next stop was the NAO Mall (across the street from Jennies) and we took some photos in their display for "The Sweetest Day".
From there we drove to Boca Grande Mall and a new experience for all of us.
As we went to park we were directed to an Automobile Elevator, where it took us up to the 3rd floor to park our car. What a trip! haha!
We could see both Boca Grande and The Old City from the parking garage!
Soon it was time to go home and do some laundry so the kids could get packed to leave for home and "The real world".
On Thursday they went swimming one last time before heading to the airport. What a joy it was to have Jonas and Eve come and visit. I can't wait until more of our grandchildren will be able to visit us when we retire. I know it won't be quite as exotic as an old city in South America, but it will be wonderful for Grandma and Grandpa!
