As we were attending the "Halloween on the High Seas" festivities our Captain was pushing the ship to 25 knots (28 mph) to get us out of the path of Tropical Storm Philippe. Due to the storm the ship would not be stopping at Castaway Cay on Sunday morning for a day of beach fun. Instead, we raced toward the Florida Coast. When I woke up at 5:45 Sunday morning and went up on deck, I could see the lights of the Cities on the Eastern Florida Coast. Our speed was only 6 knots as we leisurely made our way up the coast almost to Port Canaveral, turned around and cruised back down the coast beyond Miami and back again. All the while Philippe raged off to the south east of us.
The day started out cold, wet, and windy. But that didn't stop Cali and Sandy from going up to deck 4 and putting in some laps. All the girls were signed up for the Castaway Cay 5k. As Cali and Sandy finished their laps they found out that their race bibs and medals were available, so they got their race bling after all.
My ankle was feeling much better so I did yoga up on deck and guarded their water bottles and jackets while they ran/walked.
The rest of the day everyone pretty much did their own things.
Some of us explored the ship, joined a detective agency and solved mysteries. Others took part in different Trivia contests, Cooking demonstrations and ship tours.

This is her veggie mobile.
She finished 2nd in her heat.

I just rode my scooter everywhere and had a great time.
We all met up on deck 4 for some power lounging...

I guess we needed to rethink our lighting here.
I sure wish you could read our shirts...
Sister Love!
Dinner that evening was at the enchanted Garden, and afterward we sang Karaoke until they closed the place down!
We had so much fun and shared so much laughter. We're not perfect, but we love each other and can't wait to do it again. Except we'll plan better so Jesse can come with us.
These final photos are just some more of the fun we had on those glorious 4 days.
Enjoy!
Someone stole my scooter and crashed.
Just some o the fabulous food.
More chillin' on the veranda..
And of course, we had to take photos on in the porthole window seats.
