Day - 4
Tuesday June 28, 2022
Jake Platt's flight finally arrived at 2:00 a.m. this morning. Alan's flight was delayed until after 8:30 this morning. They were supposed to arrive last night. We are just thankful they are here safely!
A Day At the Lake...
After breakfast it didn't take long for everyone to start showing up at the lake for a massive swimming party.
Jacob takes chubby little Liam for a swim..
Oh what a happy boy!
Cami, Jesse and Shiloh demonstrate Paddleboard Yoga!
Everyone played all day on the paddleboat, paddle boards, Kayak, canoe, inflatable slide and even fishing! What a great day!
I guess they wore Liam out!
Not only is today the "family" birthday party, but it is Lydia's Sweet 16th Birthday!
Look at this gorgeous cake her best friend made for her! WOW!
As Dinner time and party time approached we all headed over to Shiloh and Jason's to break in their brand new "Party Porch" for a "Taco Bar" Birthday Party Fiesta and some delicious smoked Carne'. Mike, Dru and Heather Guffey came for the festivities along with Cindy Marie and Bill and Linda.
After dinner Dad and I started the Birthday party, beginning with the Jason Guffey clan including Cole and Mikayla. Every person at the party got a unique gift chosen just for them from an Estate sale or a garage sale. Everyone seemed to love their presents.. especially the young 'uns like Wesley!
Cami and Jacob's family had fun tearing into their gifts.
So many fun and crazy items as each family opened their gifts in turn. Izzy is showing off her "Mice in a Tea Cup" Tea party. Cindy Marie informed us that it is quite collectible and valuable. And to think I spent all of $5.00 on it!
The Platt family trying to figure out how to get their stuff on the plane to Costa Rica next week.
Skye's hat is "Fab", but the best reaction of the night was little Avery when she threw her gift up in the air with a squeal of delight and shouted, "IT'S MY UNICORN"!!
Some gifts were a little easier to open than others, but the Cunningham's finally got their opened.
Clancy is a little confused about his gift, an antique truck bank.
Cali, Alan and kids were either concentrating or afraid to see what they got. (Don't worry, they loved it!)
Although I don't have a photo, we even had gifts for Mike, Dru, Heather, Bill, Linda, Cindy Marie and Darryl. It was a great success!
The Cunningham Siblings. David wasn't there, but these three had fun visiting and reminiscing.
With Linda and I...
Don't know who, but someone thought they should hold a photo of Grandma and Grandpa Cunningham.
We sang Happy Birthday, ate lots of cake and ice cream, had smores around the campfire and enjoyed spending all the time we can with family.
FYI - Hillary is very sore and bruised, but she is a trooper as she hobbles around and doesn't complain. Her bruises look bad and very painful, bless her heart!
