Hotel Santa Clara Old Town Cartagena
Lalo and Cintia Chavez wanted us to meet them for the breakfast buffet at this beautiful hotel. And I must say.... it was incredible.
Ximena, Eduardo and little Gabriel were excited to have us there too.
Eduardo posing for me.
And sweet Gabriel playing with Abuela Cindy's Phone.
And I finally had my photo taken with a lovely Palenque lady.
We walked around town for a while before heading home to continue packing.

Darryl and I never go out to eat on Sundays, unless we are traveling, but when Brother and Sister Ulloque asked to take us to lunch after church, we made an exception. We had tried to get together several times and it never worked out. I was glad were able to share this meal with them.
This is near the medical college where Brother Ulloque used to teach.
Brother Ulloque jokingly said that since this is El Restaurante Espiritu Santo (The Holy Spirit Restaurant) that it was okay to eat there on the Sabbath day. I will say, the food was incredible and very delicious!
They walked around with us and told us some of the history of Old Town Cartagena, which made for a very pleasant Sunday afternoon.
Darryl was looking especially handsome today!
That afternoon a very well-known Colombian artist came over to deliver a painting he did for me.
Edgardo Bello is an amazing painter and is famous for his works of Cartagena and his commissioned work for the Colombian Navy.
Our good friend Jennie Manning recommended him as he is a friend of hers and I can say his painting is exactly what I wanted! Thank you Edgardo. You can look him up on Facebook or Instagram.
I also received this sweet message from one of my church friends.
Monday Morning at 5:00 am Darryl took this photo of the moon on his way to work.
I have no photos from Monday as I was so busy, but Tuesday October 1st was such a beautiful morning I had to take photos of my walk and the beach. I will say it again... I am going to miss this place.
Sunrise in Crespo.
Tuesday Evening I went to Lalo and Cintia's to drop off some things and spent a few minutes watching the kids swim on their roof top pool and watching another incredible Sunset.
Looking out towards downtown Cartagena.
On the hill to the left you can see the The Convent Santa Cruz de la Popa and to the right is Fort Castille de San Felipe.

Wednesday morning I took my last "Moto Taxi" ride in Crespo for a few little items.

Before going to the airport I wanted to get some photos of the newly painted lifeguard stands and the Cartagena sign at Playa Marbella.
Driving by these brightly painted structures always brought a smile to my face.
The sign in the background.
And we are done! On the plane and on our way home to the USA, lots of loving family and friends and someday soon.... retirement!
Vaya con Dios Cartagena! You will always hold a special place in our hearts!
