Our Last Days in Yorkshire

Work had been put off until Wednesday the 6th, so on Monday Darryl and I made a final trip to York for one more walk about this fabulous old city.

Men gliding on the River Ouse and another tower "gate".

Tuesday found us antique hunting at the Ironworks and Antique Heritage Center in Elsecar where I took time to enjoy a Fresh Cream Fruit Scone and a cup of Peppermint Tea.

We finished our work on the dome tunnels.

On Friday we walked around Selby again and took another tour of Selby Abbey,

and we said goodbye to this beautiful edifice and the sweet town of Selby.

On Saturday Feb. 9th, we drove over to Preston in the pouring rain to go to the Temple there.

The rain stopped around 10:00 a.m. so we drove down to Bretherton to the Old Corn Mill Antique store

And while Darryl looked at clocks I enjoyed another cup of herb tea and a piece of Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake. I'm pretty sure I'm gaining weight.
On Monday the 11th we will be going on a hike with our friends Martin and Teresa Wiles. I will post those photos in a few days along with pictures of our other adventures.
Goodbye Selby and beautiful Yorkshire!
