Third Times a Charm - I hope!

This has been such an unusual and odd year. Not just because of the Covid Pandemic, Election craziness, restrictions, etc., but also because of what happened to the Domes Darryl has been constructing.

👷👷👷

He inflated his first dome here in Pascagoula on April 8th and a freak wind shear of over 100 mph ripped it off it's foundation sometime in the late night hours of April 9th. In the over 40 yrs. Dome Technology has been in business this was a first.

While we were waiting for the new airform for the Pascagoula Dome they sent us to Angola, Indiana to build another salt dome for the toll road. When he inflated this small dome it was shaped wrong so it had to be deflated, rolled up and sent back to Idaho. The second inflation, pictured below, was much better.

September 28th was the 2nd inflation of the Pascagoula Dome with a brand new air form. It was a smooth inflation and all went well. The foaming, hanging rebar and starting on the shotcrete were text book perfect. And then on October 28th Hurricane Zeta hit with 110 mph wind gusts. That dome didn't make it through the storm.
Since I was in North Carolina during the inflation of this dome, the only photo I have of it was taken on Nov. 1st. It is a sad sight.

On the early morning of December 10th Darryl inflated the Pascagoula dome for a 3rd time.

Hopefully this one will stick, it all looks good so far!
