Spring break in Mississippi was just what the Platt Family needed!
Wednesday March 10, 2021
This was the first time at the beach for the boys, and they loved it!
They had a great time playing in the water with each other and Mom and Dad!
That evening Grandpa brought home a Crawfish Boil for everyone to enjoy for supper!
Thursday March 11th,
Happy 6th Birthday Jethro!
Birthday cupcakes for breakfast... Yum, yum!
After breakfast the boys went out to feed the turtles and fish.
This is a favorite pastime for man and 'beast'.
Slippers, as ever, watching over her boy!
Ezra needed a little nap before the big outing.
We took the boys to the Mississippi Aquarium!
Gabriel, 'dabbing' is not allowed in grandma's photos..
That is much better. They enjoyed the dolphin show and then we went inside to the touch tank.
I love the expressions on their faces as this stingray purposefully splashed them as he swam by..
Absolutely the coolest part of the tour, the tunnel in the fish tank. I was surprised at how Slippers didn't hesitate, but went right in.
Gabe testing the strength of the plexiglass tunnel.
Jethro and slippers in front of the "fish tornado" tank.
And they loved the big wall! (and more dabbing from Gabriel)
I love this photo of the whole family!
Jake and Hillary left that afternoon to go to New Orleans to catch their flight to Costa Rica and the boys stayed and played with grandma and grandpa for 6 days!
Jethro and his otter puppet fed the fish...
And we went back to the beach in Ocean Springs..
Slippers kept her eyes on the boys as all times. It was hot and I was glad I had shade for her.
I think there favorite time of day was tablet time. These boys get along so well. I love having them.
Grandpa taught them how to fish and they were quite successful.
Gabriel caught the first bluegill.
Jethro caught on too!
But Ezra caught the biggest fish of the day!
Grandpa and I took them into Ocean Springs to play at the park too.
Grandpa taking the boys for a 'spin'.
We took the boys to church and they wore their "Crowns of Glory" all afternoon while they played.
On Monday March 15th I took the boys to the 'Gulf Coast Alligator Ranch' and let them take tie looking at all the gators!
Oh how we love this Dog!!
On Tuesday we had a painting day and grandma and the boys made some beautiful works of art.
Happy St. Patricks Day!
We put together our "Irish" puzzle after breakfast.
Then I took the boys to Ocean Springs to the Candy Store and Miner's Toy Store.
I was a happy, happy grandma having these boys come and stay for 10 days.
