Your thought for the day!
Jesus Alamo, our good 'amigo' in Mexico, took this photo on the 3rd of July in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico as a storm was coming in. It was so stunning I just had to share it!

Happy Independence Day!
Darryl and I in our patriotic Sunday best are ready for church and then to celebrate the founding of this great nation!
I found these custom mugs online and just had to get some made with my sister's names on them.
The following week Jonas (Elder Jonas Guffey) left for the mission field. He will serve in the Salt Lake City area until his Visa comes in and he can leave for Buson, South Korea.
Brotherly love - Preston and Jonas
The last time I visited Michelle she gave me this beautiful needlepoint that was made by my Grandmother Ruth. She started it in January 1942 and finished it in January 1963. It made me smile to know I am not the only one who doesn't get all her projects finished right away.
I took it in to be framed and I think it turned out beautifully!
One of my sisters, Sandy I think, posted this photo of my Dad's entire immediate family from the early 1970s, maybe 1973. I have to say I had the perfect family! Oh how I love this bunch! Little did I know that 3 years later I would meet the love of my life and move far away, but I still get back to see them every chance I get!

Another thought for the day! 😉
July 14th
We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary this year. I surprised Darryl by showing up at work in the early morning with this cake!
His crew insisted he come home from work early so we could go out on a date. Laron, one of his crew, even gave us an anniversary card and a gift.
And Darryl surprised me by coming home with an Anniversary gift! I love this crazy rooster. I call him Hehe (HayHay) after the chicken in the movie Moana!
And I completed another watercolor painting. I like my little Hummingbird.
I spent a lot of time with the Sister Missionaries, Here Sister Dangerfield (L) and I are saying goodbye to Sister Cheney who was being transferred to Louisiana.
It has been a busy month so far... but I happen to know it's about to get a lot busier!
