June 2021
I stayed in Utah for just over a week. I had time to play with Rachel, Ross and Sammy. We went to a bottle Rocket Shoot hosted by one of the older couples in their ward. We had a blast watching the "Bottle" Rockets fly when the kids pressed the button!
Grandma also made Tie Dyed T-shirts with the Utah bunch. Gabriel, Jethro, Ezra, Rachel and Ross each helped do their own shirts and they turned out pretty amazing!
Hillary and I made shirts too!
I think we deserve a pat on the back for these works of art!
This is where you can find little Sammy every evening when it is time for Daddy to come home. He is such a Daddy's boy.
He did take time to enjoy the picnic Rachel set up for them in the back yard. She is such a good big sister!
We have been so thankful that the Temples of the Church are opening back up. On June 11, we met Sister Martha Sego at the temple when she was sealed by proxy to her husband. It was such a blessing to be in the temple and feel that beautiful spirit that is there!
You know, you can't keep a good woman down or a good grandma in one place. I needed to get Gideon and Parker, so I drove to North Carolina to pick them up and was able to spend some time at the pool with Wesley and about 1/2 of my grandchildren.
On the way back to Mississippi we stopped Donna and Doug Lowry's house in Augusta, GA and took advantage of their pool so Gideon and Parker could spend time with their Lowry cousins. Skye's girls were staying with Donna while Ryan and Skye sold their house in Buena Vista, VA, packed up their belongs, and drove them out to Utah.
Sometime between packing up the house and leaving for Utah they were exposed to Covid-19 and they both were sick with it. Skye recovered pretty quickly but Ryan was down for a couple of weeks.
Whey Skye and Ryan were sick with Covid, we were having a grand time playing in the pool.
Gideon even got to hold Clarissa's little baby boy.
We left early Friday morning, June 18th. Little Miss Avery fixed me a special breakfast before I left. Oh Yummy!
One big Group hug then time to hit the road!
We'll see you girls in a few weeks!
