Abstracts, T-Shirts, Exercise and Puppets

Unfortunately, it rained a couple of days the kids were here, but thanks to my dear friend and art teacher, Marguerite Pavarnik, she gave me lots of craft ideas for the kids to do.

Silhouette paintings on watercolors backgrounds

Each morning it was a surprise to see how these two were positioned on the futon.

We found an exercise park to work out their energy,

And Marguerite gave us some rubber molds to paint and print onto T-shirts.
This is Lily's,..

and Marshall's,

And miss Izzy's...

Gage's undersea creation...

.. and Ransom's "Lunch time for the Piranhas" creation. Complete with 'blood spatters'.

We had some very good days!

Grandma loved to wait for Izzy to come in and "wake me up" each morning. So nice to have a snuggle bug!

And then we made Juice Carton Puppets and the children prepared a puppet show to put on for their mom and dad! Izzy's puppet was a curly haired little girl, just like her.

Marshall made a Jack-O-Lantern puppet.

We love puppet shows!

Thank you Miss Marguerite for all the fun ideas!

Our final project was to paint abstract acrylic paintings depicting the creation as read from the Book of Genesis!

These children are so creative and such big helpers for Grandma. I am really looking forward to the Family Reunion so we can have more fun like this!
Cami and Jacob came home on Friday evening and left Saturday morning for home. I am sure going to miss my grandchildren, but I must admit, it's nice to have a little peace and quiet and my house back to normal. 😉
