A Marvelous Mother's Day (or Week) in May

 Sunday May 7, 2023

We thought this would be our last Sunday in the Providence Ward. Here is our sweet friend Jerry, ( JP)

We left after church and drove the U-Haul Truck and my mini-van up to North Carolina where we put everything in a storage unit.

Tuesday May 9, 2023

I took Darryl to the Charlotte airport early in the morning as he had to get back to work in Tampa. Before we left Florida we moved our clothes into one of empty apartments that the company had as we will be here for almost a month. It's better than staying in a hotel.

Friday May 12, 2023

I started the day off by going to Marshall and Izzy's school to watch the Mother's Day Program and then stayed to eat lunch with the kids, including Gage.

This day didn't seem to go by fast enough as late at night all the Guffey families and I went to the airport to meet our own Elder Jonas Guffey as he returned home from his 2 yr. mission to Busan, South Korea!
Wesley was very excited... I don't think he knew why he was excited, but he was just as keyed up as everyone else!

Momma welcomes her missionary home!

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

And Dad was so proud of his son!

Wesley: I don't know why everyone is crying... I am so happy and I don't know why!

Adam was glad to have his big brother home!

Nanna and Papa get their hugs too!

The entire Jason Guffey Family together again!

There were a couple people who weren't there on Friday night when Jonas came home. Cami and Jacob were up in the northern mountains of North Carolina as Jacob was running in the Hellbender 100 mile race and Cami was his support crew!
Nice Barn art!

Cami came home early in the morning on Saturday and around noon Lily and I went back with her to be there when Jacob finished. Lily ran about the last 1/2 mile with her dad as he crossed the finish line!

This man is a ROCK STAR!!!
Another 100 mile race in the books.

And before I left to go back to Florida, Cami gave me a new do for Mother's Day. This is the shortest my hair has been in 7 years and I love it!

Happy Mother's Day Sunday Everyone!

Sunday afternoons at Cami's are always the best! Wesley likes Grandma's hat.

Trouble on the fence... that's for sure!
Micah, Gage, Benny, Izzy and Marshall Doc.

Friday May 19, 2023
On Friday I was back at Brandon Chevrolet working balloon duty with the rest of Charlie and Christa's crew!

And finally, a little political news from our country and the world.
It has been decided by some doctors, psychologists, education leaders, some government leaders and elite members of society that gender is whatever you want it to be and a man can be a woman just by saying he feels like one and that little children as young as 2 yrs old can decide to be a boy or a girl. They also claim that children as young as 5 or 6 can consent to sex reassignment surgery if they feel like they don't fit in their bodies. That actual biological sex has nothing to do with whether we are male or female.
This is all crazy stuff - I can't believe it's really happening in our day!
Isaiah 5:20 didn't lie to us!
