Happy Labor Day on Amelia Island, Florida

Friday September 4, 2020

It was a spur of the moment decision, but when Cami asked us if we would like to spend Labor Day weekend with them on Amelia Island we said yes! So very happy we did. It was a 6 1/2 hour drive and worth every minute!

Here is all the fun we had on Saturday the 5th. Cami and I went for an early morning walk on the beach and found this patriotic display!

The waves were great, the water was warm and pretty shallow. It made for some great body boarding!

Cami catching some rays and sending a Marco Polo of our fun!

He tackled the waves and won!

Our spot for the day.

Marshall, looking at the sand castle his dad and Lily built.

After the beach we went for a stroll downtown. What a lovely, quaint place to visit.

Yes, we found the fudge and ice cream shop and lots of souvenir shops!

This little Izzy is the sweetest! She doesn't even need Ice Cream!

The City Hall I think. I just liked how I asked for a photo and they turned around and made it look posed.

Lily and one of Captain Morgan's crew I think.

Seafood for lunch! Yum!

We finished off the evening with a game of miniature golf. I think Jacob's team beat Grandpa's team in the match.

Such concentration. It lasted about 15 seconds then she was off again!

It was a pretty nice course and the kids loved it!

And there is more fun to come!
