Our Lovely Cartagena Home

These photos are from

October 2023 - early 2024

Before I arrived in Cartagena in November, Darryl sent photos of the apartment that he rented for us. He spent almost 8 weeks living in a hotel in Boca Grande before they found us an apartment. I think the wait was worth it, it is lovely!

This is a floor plan to the apartments and we live in one like this one with 3 bedrooms and a wrap around balcony. The kitchen in our apartment was remodeled at sometime and the walk in pantry was removed along with the kitchen door to create a very large and lovely open space.

This is what you see when you walk in the door from the hallway.

The Dining area decorated for Christmas.

And what it normally looks like.

A few of these photos might be a little blurry as they were stills captured from the video Darryl sent me.

We enjoy cooking in our very large a functional kitchen.
This is a long way from our tiny kitchen in China.

I love the open design that allows me to look into the living area, out to the ocean.. or the airport runway!

The three bedrooms are roomy and all open to the balcony. There are two bathrooms with large showers.

The owner of this apartment has some very lovely and expensive artwork decorating the walls. Beautiful paintings can be found in every room including the bathrooms.

This is my favorite. It's a shame that it is hidden in the narrow hallway.

Of course there is a fabulous pool, … well, three pools actually. This very large pool with a lap lane and two kiddie pools near the play ground.

To help keep all of these windows clean and paintings taken care of, the owner asked us to get a maid. This is our very sweet and beautiful maid Maria.

Across the street from our apartment is a park with walking/cycling paths, exercise equipment and a huge open space built over the highway tunnel that has AstroTurf areas for futbol (soccer) training or exercise groups, seating areas, a running track and access to the beach. I try to walk it 5 days a week.

We live in Barrio Crespo right near the airport in Condominio Beach Club. Our building is the one on the left.

The sign that welcomes visitors to Crespo.

I couldn't ask for a lovelier place to live for what may very well be our last Dome Project. (The jury may still be out on that. We will see.)

With the view of the Caribbean Sea out our Kitchen windows...

and the fun we have watching the airplanes take off and land (yes we have an app on our phones to keep track of our favorites airliners) we are really enjoying living right here.

It is where the Lord needs us to be at this time.
So while we are here, y'all are welcome to come visit anytime. Just give us a call.

See you soon!
