Happy Independence Day, Happy Birthday, Scout Camp and More!

Okay, I knew it would happen. I am so far behind on posting these photos and memories that I missed one. How could I forget to post the annual 4th of July post? I don't know, but now it's out of order, so anyone with severe OCD ... please prepare yourself for a little back tracking.

Sunday July 2,2023

Iron Station, North Carolina

After church Cami, Darryl and Jacob treated us to a low country boil. Mmm, mmm good!

Wesley, Adam and Ransom enjoy the freezer pops grandpa and Cami keep stashed in the garage freezer!

Tuesday July 4, 2023

Cami cooked up some breakfast magic with these Red white and blue Chocolate chip pancakes.

Marshall and Izzy in their Independence Day finery.

Let the Celebrations Begin.

We'll start with Cami's fabulous Patriotic outfit...

And Grandpa helping everyone get scorched by sparklers. Yes... they're hot, but so fun to look at!

God Bless America! Land that we love!

And she loves Grandma too!

Someone stayed up too late and played too hard yesterday!

Marshall and Izzy wanted to paint with grandma. Marshall put his subject in front of him - it's the hedgehog.

Okay... this kid's got quite the artistic eye!

And Isabelle... she's got the beauty and the "look"!

Gotta love that face first thing in the morning!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY AVERY!!
It's Avery's birthday and her South Carolina family are all out of town, so Adrianna loaded up their van with Lydia, Maggie, and Wesley and Darryl and I nabbed Ransom, Gage, Micah, Benny and Isabelle and drove to South Carolina to surprise her with an impromptu party.
Cami and the rest of the kids showed up a couple of hours after us.
Annabelle was very excited to see us and Wesley loved being in the pool.

Diving board best flip, jump or dive contest!

Oh yes, let's not forget the important part.... PRESENTS!

Adrianna and some of her siblings had to get back to NC, but the rest of us stayed and played games and had a wonderful night. The next morning we stopped at the LDS Temple book store before going home.

Thursday afternoon we drove to the Bud Sheele BSA Scout Camp where Preston is working as a camp counselor and Adam has been camping all week with his troop. It was family night and was quite a fun show!

The counselors cheering everyone on!

Shiloh and Jason and all younger kids were there with us to watch Adam's troop compete with the other troops at the camp.

They had catapult contests and canoe races and then we had a family picnic. Quite the good time.

Someone has caught the watercolor painting bug. She sure likes to create.

It's our 47th Wedding Anniversary.
❤️❤️❤️

And they threw us a party!

I love you sweetheart!

(I see you Gage)

On Saturday Darryl and I took Isabelle and Marshall to their little friends baptism..

Darryl and I didn't know anyone, but they fed us lunch so now we are friends. 😊

Stake Girls camp starts next week and Cami is one of the Camp leaders, so she is busy getting heat press designs on the shirts.

Well, now that the 4th of July is posted and everything else that happened in the 2 weeks following, we'll get back to the proper order of things.
