Master Bedroom and Bathroom Remodel!

It took 2 days to clean out every piece of furniture, clothing, books, blankets, and miscellaneous 'junk' that had accumulated in our master bedroom, bathroom and closets over the last 9 years. Most of it was stacked in the courtyard to be sorted through, trashed, donated or returned to storage at a later date. And then the work of remodeling started!
I know I posted these before, but my new bathroom counter top and vessel sink look so nice....
I love the look of newly tiled floors and walls in the 'water closet' as the call it in Morocco.

When you walk into the master bath this is the sight that greets you. Yes, Darryl built the tree in 2004 "just because I think it will look cool". It branches out over the sink.

Darryl's closet not only looks good, but minus the storage boxes it is actually usable as a dressing room.

My closet has always been used as a dressing room, but now that the girls have all moved out, the extra clothes (formals, wedding dresses, etc) and other storage items will be calling upstairs rooms home now.
As the painting began in the master bedroom.

Getting ready to lay the carpet.

The finished bedroom. This is part of the sitting area. (We have since put some of our decorations from our travels and pictures up in this area.)

Another picture of the sitting area. Sorry I couldn't shut the door to the adjoining room, I had stacked all of the painting supplies there. Also, this was taken before we finished painting the top of the window area. We ran out of paint at 8:00 p.m. and needed to get the room put back together because company was coming the next day.

Someday I will be able to put this mirror back on top of the console table where it belongs. Until then It will be part of the sitting room furniture.
Looking from the sitting area into the master bathroom.

I love the new warm and comfortable feeling of this room. Most mornings I don't want to leave it. :-)

We are starting on the Upstairs bathroom, office and storage rooms next. Hopefully by Thanksgiving it will all be finished! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think.

I love it!! Especially the tilework and the sink in the bathroom. I know how much work it takes to get this stuff done. I am in awe.
