May 19th was the Gonzales Wards Jambalaya Picnic! Darryl and Sister Mills enjoying good food and great company!
And Her I am with Brother and Sister Lambert.
Did I mention that the main course for the picnic was Jambalaya. Darryl helped to prepare it. Berkly and Fielding were happy to dig in.
Served with hot dogs, hamburgers and pot luck salad and desserts.
Standing in front of the tree is Bishop Masten and leaning on the tree is Tony Bricker.
Below is Felipe` Castenada who was just called to serve in the California Fresno Mission.
Dome crew and families enjoying the picnic. Below, Jason and Sandi Craig and their boys enjoying dinner with Brother Pollard.
Above is one of the boys I teach in Primary, Chase, and is his mom, Andrea.
Peggy Mann on the right, is our Relief Society President with one of our new friends.
And one of our favorite Louisianans and a great Jambalaya cook in his own right, Sid LaBlanc. A descendent of the original Acadians of Louisiana. He is our home teacher and what a wonderful man he is!
We sure do enjoy the friends we have made here in Louisiana. They are wonderful saints and to top it off, they sure know how to cook! More posts to come about Activity day Girls, the World Championship Jambalaya Cook-off and Memorial Day on Ship Island. Until then..... "See Ya While Ago"!
