MERRY CHRISTMAS IN OREGON - Friday and Saturday

Yay!!! Hooray!!! Darryl and I had company for Christmas!
Cody, Alisa and their kiddos came to be with us for Christmas. Cody and family left Sandpoint Thursday evening when he got off work from Walmart and arrived here Hillsboro around 6:00 Friday Morning.  After Darryl went to work and Cody, Alisa and baby Ross went down for a nap, Miss Rachel and I headed to the grocery store and dollar store to purchase some last minute items.

I bought Rachel and pack of stickers and she decided they were best used as decoration for her baby brother. Friday night was spent visiting, watching Christmas movies, baking and snuggling Ross the Boss.

Saturday, Darryl took Cody and Alisa down to meet Glen and to have Alisa pick out a "new" violin for a gift from us. While they were gone Rachel and I baked and decorated Christmas Cookies.

She was such a big helper!

I said, "Rachel smile and show Grandma your teeth." This is what I got! Haha!

She kept a close eye on them when they were cooking

Our finished product! And they were yummy too!

Saturday evening we hopped on the train at Willow Creek station and rode it into Washington Park to the Portland Zoo to see the Zoolights display. It was beautiful and worth every penny. We left at 5:30 and when we saw how big of a crowd was waiting to buy tickets were were quite satisfied that we purchased ours in advance online and skipped the ticket counter and went straight to the zoo and all the fun. Enjoy the photos!

It doesn't show on her face, but Rachel thought this light tunnel was so fun!

Look who we found at the train station! Jasmin and Aladdin!

And an according player who entertained us with Christmas Carols and the music from Star Wars.

It was a fun night, but we were glad to get back on the train and head home.

Christmas is coming!!!
