Family Time in North Carolina - Week 1

We left the Monday after Easter to go back to Mississippi for Darryl to meet with the clients at Enviva. After a week we left for a 2 week vacation in North Carolina with family!

We left Moss Point on Monday April 25 getting in later that afternoon.

We had a busy afternoon on Tuesday, going to Lydia's track meet (she finished 3rd in the 1600),

then off to the Primary Pinewood Derby.
Jason and I had front row seat for the evening.

Jacob, on the right, was a race official and Cami, in the back, was the announcer.

Micah, with both fingers crossed, hoping for a win.

Benny using the crossing the legs method in hopes of a victory. Izzy is helping the track judge.

Benny's car won his heat, but Micah lost his.

Wesley stole everyone's hearts...

And Gage was the champion of the Derby!
Congratulations!

All of the competitors show off their cars.

The rest of the week was filled up with Wesley time, boat hunting for a pontoon boat,

Tea time with Isabelle ...

She even had grandpa having a 'cuppa' before bed..

Friday April 29th -
Taking Izzy on a garage sale adventure. This was a great find for $2.00.

Darryl had Shiloh and the kids help him form up the area under the garage overhang so we can pour a concrete patio next week.

And I used some of the bricks we found to do a little landscaping. I made a flower bed and transplanted some irises by the propane tank.

And then, while everyone else worked, I played under the tree and enjoyed the sunshine and breeze with Wesley.

We finished our our first week with Makayla's Birthday Party.
Happy 19th sweet Makayla!

Darryl and I also drove around several counties looking for possible property or houses to buy. I went on a "quail hunt" to buy quail with Shiloh, Cami trimmed our hair and Darryl helped Jacob with some of their landscaping, and many, many more activities.

And that was only the first week - there is a lot more fun to come in Week #2.
