Lily Kisses!!

So, yesterday there was a wonderful little video posted on Cali's blog entitled "Kisses for Grandma", where Gideon blew kisses to Grandma Cindy. Lily watched it over and over again. I came up with a great idea! Let's have Lily blow kisses to Aunt Cali and Gideon (and Grandpa of course!) She had on her super cute new outfit mommy made for her out of scrap material...
So she modeled it for me, and then we had to sing "Once There Was a Snowman". I mean it was only 77 degrees outside and it is her favorite song.
Then she got this very concerned look and had to get down now! She ran into the Living room and....
She made sure that baby Ransom was alright.
It called for some pretty close inspection work...

And she even gave him a kiss, but I wasn't quick enough to catch it. He wasn't crying, just gurgling and cooing. She watched him for 5 minutes.
What a good big sister! Then we went outside to get some kissing pictures. It took 5 tries but we finally got it. For some reason, even though it is turned correctly on the computer, it comes out sideways here. I don't know how to correct it, so just cock your head to the left and enjoy!

We finally came back inside and I was able to get a picture of here cleaning up her mommy,... oh.. and at the very end a kiss!

Love you!

Key Biscayne

On Wednesday Cami and Jacob took the family to the state park and Lighthouse on Key Biscayne. The first thing Lily had to do was try out the playground and she discovered 'climbing'! We wanted to tour the lighthouse, but when we got there the gate was locked and the sign said "No tours on Tuesdays and Wednesday". This made us sad.
Lily didn't mind. She found something new to climb.

This Light house was renovated in 1996 and these are the old parts that were replaced.
We read a brochure that said Key Biscane had one of the top 10 beaches in the USA. I decided to take a look.
hmmmm.................
...nope, I'm not seeing it. Must have been a different beach than this one. Maybe on the other side of the key.
It was quiet though. And I did like the natural look of it.
We did take some pictures of the lighthouse.
Getting ready for a picture.
Grandma holding my little "Lighthouse Lily".
OH.... and the wind was really blowing. Can you tell?
Jacob promised they would bring me back on my next trip to Florida.

More than Handsome

Look who wants his thumb.
Then Mommy had him model his new outfit.
She rolled up his pants so you could see his cute shoes and his skinny legs.
Such a happy boy.

Oh what a sweet little boy.

Saturday At The Beach

First things first on Saturday and Ransom gets his morning kisses from Daddy. Then it was bath time.
He wasn't really happy about it.
Lily is such a big helper. She wanted to turn on the light but couldn't quite figure out how to get up there. She decided to step on her potty, which would have worked except she opened the lid first. And no, they haven't started potty training yet, so I guess she doesn't know what it is really for.
After that we took Ransom on his first beach excursion.
It was 81 degrees and a little windy and the water was a little chilly.....

but that doesn't stop us from having fun.

One of Lily's favorite things to do is wet down the sand and play with her sand toys.

It is fun for the whole family.

I can't tell you how many trips to the water Jacob and Cami made to fill up her little watering can.
And of course the trip to the beach would not be complete unless we had a picture of Ransom's first encounter with the Atlantic Ocean.
I didn't get a picture of it, but Jacob did bend down and stick his little foot in the water.

By this time someone needed to refill Lily's watering can so Cami came back to give Ransom to grandma.
Yeah... it almost makes me sad that we couldn't take him on his first sled ride down the butte.....
NOT!!!!
Have a wonderful day!

Look At Her Hair!!!

Yes, I used that title to get you to look at this post.
Our day started off with Lily helping with the dishes.. then she and her daddy started playing horsey!
We decided she needed more space to run and play, and anyway, this would be a good time to take 4 day old Ransom on his first trip to the park...
Daddy carries our little man in his secret hide-away pouch.
Yes, this is Cami and she really did give birth 4 days earlier. Sickening.... isn't it?
When we got out of the car Lily grabbed my fingers and took me down the path saying....
"turtle, turtle" I thought we were headed to the pond but she had bigger ideas.
This park is called Camp Everglades and it is a fun place!
The playground equipment is her favorite.
She thinks she is such a big girl.... oh wait, she is....
Lily's favorite things to do is go down the slides.
She likes the way her hair looks when she gets to the bottom....
Let's go again, and again, and again. She played on the slides non stop for 45 minutes!
And at the bottom of the slide we would admire her beautiful hair. Gotta love that Static Electricity!
Even Ransom got in on the fun. He rode on the rocking alligator...

And mommy took him on the swings.
Everyone was tired when we got home, but Lily still had enough energy to
want to play with Ransom.
Good night baby brother.
Here's hoping y'all have a fun day too!
