OH SHIP!!! - Family Cruise - Starfish Private Island, Belize

Thursday March 12, 2020
Starfish Island, Belize

This is a day that Grandma set aside to spoil Gideon and Parker. Grandpa and I took them to a private Island where they could swim, play, snorkel and just have some beach fun. So while John and Nancy went into Belize City to take a River Trip to some ruins, and Cali and Alan went snorkeling on the reef,

we caught a tender and headed to Starfish Island, a private island of the Royal Caribbean Cruise line.

And lo and behold, we actually saw starfish while we were there.

Gideon and I did quite a bit of snorkeling and then enjoyed some lunch and beach time.

It was a great day to just relax and enjoy the sun, sand and water.

We absolutely loved this beautiful wood sculpture at the center of the island.

Parker getting ready to snorkel. She did it for a little while, but not as long as Gideon.

Enjoying some sun and shade with my sweetheart!

Cali and Alan snorkeled on the reef for a couple hours and then their group came to the island to play for a couple more hours.

Some more starfish.

We watched a little volleyball too. If I close my eyes I can almost here 'Playin with the Boys' by Kenny Loggins. Where's Maverick, Goose and Iceman and Slider when you want them?

All I can say is that was "Some Beach" and it made for a fabulous day!
