CHRISTMAS IS HERE AGAIN!!! - Part 1

🎄

So, funny story - Back in late October I thought Darryl was cooking up something special. I thought he had one of our kids coming down to surprise me, so I told people who asked that we would be staying here in Mississippi. Sometime in November, when he heard me tell a friend we weren't traveling anywhere for Christmas, he went.... "Hmmm.... She must be having one of our children and their family coming down for Christmas". So there you have it. She thought.... He thought... We both thought wrong. On Saturday Dec. 12th one of us mentioned Christmas plans and we discovered the truth. No one was coming. We decided right then that we would go to North Carolina for the Christmas Holiday.

🎄🎄🎄

We left on Saturday the 19th and arrived to a full house of Jacob and Jason "Guffeyites" and had a weiner roast to feed everyone!

Mr. Wesley had a grand time!

Hello Miss Isabel!
"There was a little girl who had a little curl....."

"And when she was good she was very, very good. And when she was bad she was..." - Actually, not so bad at all. She's just our Izzy!
💗💗💗
On Monday the 21st we went up to Advance, NC and visited Cindy Marie and Matt and Will and Cindy's boyfriend Jimmy. That evening we had a Family Zoom Home Evening Hosted by Cami and Jacob Guffey and emceed and narrated by Cami and Darryl (Grandpa)
Cami had assigned every family a portion of the Christmas Story from the bible and each family was to dress up and act it out while Grandpa read it. It was beautiful and imaginative. Because it was on Zoom I don't have any photos of the event, but I do have one picture of the sheep in our flock. Skye and Ryan's familiy were assigned the story of the Shepherd's in their fields watching over their flocks. Annabelle was the sheep and this is her flock.

Tuesday the 22nd was Cookie making day at Mike and Dru Guffey's house. The kids made ton's of cookies. I showed up in time to make Catherdral Windows to add to the cookie plate.

Wednesday the 23rd was a laid back day. I stayed home with the children and they made chocolate covered pretzels while I did some Dome work on my computer. I re-attached Skippy the elf's leg. That made Marshall quite happy.

We also went Christmas Caroling and then off to look at some beautiful Christmas lights.

CHRISTMAS EVE!
On my birthday I went into Walmart first thing in the morning to get what I needed to make "Cowboy Candy" which is really sweet pickled Jalapeno Peppers. and it is very good. Yes... we are still wearing masks.  - Don't ask. It is a point of much contention across the nation.

On Christmas Eve Shiloh and Jason came over with their family and we had a fabulous birthday celebration!

And the "Cowboy Candy" was a hit!

Lily made me this beautiful Pistachio Pudding cake. She did a fabulous job and it was very, very delicious!

I was spoiled once again with gifts. Holiday sweaters, a new purse, a used Ruckus (waiting for me at Cody's), Cody's handmade nativity, Trump election flag and stickers (which is funny since he lost the election) and so much more.

After Birthday we had a 'Zoom' meeting with Jesse, Kelly and the entire Crystal family Christmas party in Rigby. They asked us to sing Christmas Carols to them like we used to,... so we did! Since we were all together we decided it was a great time for a family photo!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
