Time to Catch Up and My Arizona Kiddos!

October 9, 2021
Dear Family and anyone else who reads this. It has been an extraordinary and very busy 2 1/2 months since I last posted on this blog. So hold onto your seats, you're about to take a rollercoaster ride through 4 months of late Spring and crazy Summer!

Moving Patty and Chuck
May 18, 2021
Patty and Chuck sold their beautiful home in Seelyville and Patty needed help packing and moving the house that they had lived in for nearly 20 years. I drove up on Tuesday and stayed through Sunday, spending my time packing up China Cabinets, kitchen cabinets the downstairs bar and game room and whatever else Patty needed me to do.

As I wrote in my last post about our family "Cultural Tuesday" group we were each asked to send a photo of a sculptor in our area that we liked, I extended the 'challenge' just a little as I had to take a photo of this sculpture my Uncle Ronald Eppert did of Cowboys by the wheel, which sat at the curve in Patty and Chuck's driveway.

I also took on evening off and went into the Terre Haute History Museum, which was very nostalgic for me. It was like taking a walk through my childhood.

I did go to Michelle and Kevin's on Saturday and got to spend a little time with my sweet Grand-nieces and nephews. Hallie enjoyed swinging with Aunt Cindy.

I also completed several YES.Fit Distance Walks. This "Happy Camper" is one of my favorite Medals. I walked 42 miles to earn it.

My Arizona Babies!!
May 25, 2021

I drove over to New Orleans and picked up Gideon and Parker as they flew in on the 10:00 p.m. Flight. I was so happy to get their hugs! Parker was happy that she got to sleep on the Sofa-bed/Futon this time.

On May 20th I watched online as our sweet Benny graduate from Kindergarten at Lincoln Charter School in North Carolina.

We saw this beautiful Heron when we went swimming at the Ocean Springs Beach on May 27th.

Gideon had outgrown his tennis shoes, they were about 2 sizes two small, and Parker didn't pack any tennis shoes, so grandma took them shoe shopping on Friday May 28th, and then they enjoyed some fun in the pool. Until Parker swam into the wall.

Aztecas Mexican Restaurant - Always a great idea for Supper.

BEACH DAY WITH GRANDPA!
On Saturday we went to Ocean Springs to spend the day at the beach. We turned Parker into a Sand Mermaid and we made Gideon into the Sand Monster Squid.

Sunday May 30,2021
In the afternoon I sang with the Ocean Springs Chorale as we presented a very fun and patriotic program for the city. It was held outdoors at St. Paul's Methodist Church. They closed off the street and set up tables and chairs and served Hot Dogs, chips, cookies and drinks. It was very well attended and included face painting and bouncy houses for the kids.

The Street was lined with flags and stars with the stars having names of  deceased veterans on them. I paid to have two stars, one with my father-in-law, Bill Cunningham's name and rank, and the other with the name of George Lewis Eppert's name. Uncle George died in France as a very young man at the end of WWI. He was an airplane mechanic and was killed by the propeller of a plane in the last days of the war.

It was a beautiful day with a tribute to our military that I hope Gideon and Parker will always remember.
