Our New Sunday Pastime

On Sunday's our schedules are so predictable. We leave for church around 9:00, come home around 1:30 or 2:00. Eat a light lunch (unless we are feeding the missionaries, then it's a heavy lunch) and spend the rest of the day reading, studying and enjoying the day. The last couple of Sundays we have walked down the beach and discovered how fun it is to feed the seagulls.
Some of them get quite brave and will come quite close.

It's a good way to use up the old stale bread and tortillas.
The answer is YES. A seagull can catch a whole tortilla on the fly and take off with it being chased by 20 other gulls, have it stolen, retreive it only to drop it into the water where the whole flock will dive bomb it. Quite fun to watch really!

It was a little chilly so I had to wear long sleeves.

I have heard from a reliable source that even more fun than feeding seagulls is feeding them exlax. Just be prepared to run for cover. It is very quick and effective!
